MY EXPERIENCE AT COVENANT UNIVERSITY
 MY EXPERIENCE AT
COVENANT UNIVERSITY
My
experience at Covenant University as a 100 level student has been a mix of
excitement, adjustment, and learning. Coming into the university as a fresher,
everything felt quite similar because I attended a boarding school but also new
because of the new environment and faces. From the academic structure to hostel
life, I had to quickly adapt to a lifestyle that was very different from my
secondary school.
One major
part of my experience has been living with roommates. There have been pleasant
moments, like bonding over late-night conversations, helping each other with
assignments, and slowly building friendships. At the same time, there have been
unpleasant situations too. Differences in habits, noise levels, and personal
space sometimes caused tension, and learning to live with people from different
backgrounds was not always easy. Still, these experiences have taught me
patience and cooperation.
Food is
another noticeable part of life on campus. Caf 1 and caf 2 are popular spots for students, especially for freshers like me. While the food is convenient and
sometimes enjoyable, it is also quite expensive. As a student still adjusting
to university expenses, the cost of food can be frustrating, especially when
the portions do not always feel worth the price.
The Wi-Fi
situation has also been challenging. There are times when the connection is
slow or unavailable, which makes studying, study breaks and accessing online
materials difficult. For a school that relies heavily on digital learning, this
can be discouraging, especially during busy academic periods.
Despite
these challenges, my experience at Covenant University has been fairly pleasant
so far. The environment is orderly, the campus is well maintained, and the
academic system encourages discipline and focus. As a 100 level student, I am
still adjusting, but I can say that the school experience is okay overall. It
has its flaws, but it is also helping me grow academically and spiritually,
adapt, and prepare for the rest of my university journey.
